0

I came across this list the other day of 50 Tactics for Social Media and Non-Profits. After looking at it, here are the more advanced techniques that jumped out at me.

#21 – Use bit.ly (or another url shortener) to track links

If you’ve got higher ups wanted to measure ROI (boooooo!) on your social media efforts, tracking traffic is one the best ways to do so. Pointing at your videos and saying “1000 views!” or your bit.ly links and saying “1000 new visitors this week!” is a perfect way to erase thoughts that your social media strategy isn’t working.

#33 – Hold a contest on Facebook

#37 -  Make a funny or compelling video, not a sad one

Proof:

Some of these tactics you can implement at your company, some you can’t, but it’s a good place to start if you’re just getting involved in social media. The full presentation below.
